FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How do I care for my candles?
    1. You must burn your candle for at least two hours during your first burn. This will ensure you acheive the proper melt pool and the wax melts on the edges of your vessel. ​ 2. Trim your wicks to 1/8 of an inch after it has cooled after each use. This will ensure your wick is close enough to the wax to assist with a proper burn. ​ 3. Remove any toppings (flowers/gems) prior to burn or during burn that may flow close to wick to avoid ignition. ​ 4. Ensure candles are in a clear space and away from loose objects that may fall into the candles burn space. ​ 5. Do not leave candles burning unattended and remove any loose items that may be ignited in the candle area. ​ 6. Candles should not burn in excess of four hours.
  • Can I reuse my candle jars?
    Yes! After burning your candle down to the wick holder, simply wipe out remaining pool of wax and wipe jar out with a paper towel and remove candle holder. From there you can enjoy your jar as a decorative peice/holder. Want to get your jar filled with another scent? Hop over to the 'Flames' page and put in an order for a refill.
  • When will my order be shipped?
    Once your order is confirmed, you'll receive a confirmation email which alerts you that the Melt team has received your order. After confirmation, we will begin packing your order and preparing it for shipping (2-3 business days) with the carrier you've chosen at check out. Once the package has been accepted by the carrier and is at their location preparing to ship, you will recieve another email listing tracking information.
  • What if I have questions about my order?
    Questions about your order should be directed to the Melt team via email at melt@griffinandhome.com. The team will respond to your inquiry via email within 24 business hours. The team is available Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm EST.
